We decided to get away for a couple of days. We wanted to go somewhere and really relax. So we booked a log cabin, did a big food shop, full of absolutely necessary items, such as pop tarts, cookie crisp cereal, oreos, bacon and alcohol etc.. You get the gist. We packed up the car and set off for a few relaxing days away. The next morning we got up early to see the sun rise, it was so worth it, the sky looked absolutely beautiful. It was so peaceful, and quiet being awake at that time, the only sound we could hear was the nearby cockerel crowing. Despite there being other log cabins dotted around the park, we felt like we were the only ones around, for miles and miles.
After going back to bed for an hour or two, we woke up to beautiful blue skies and sunshine. The floor to ceiling windows from the lodge boasted such beautiful views over the open fields. I decided to take a quick dip in the hot tub (before a nutritious breakfast of chocolate pop-tarts, I know, awful.) Before doing absolutely nothing all day long. Well, apart from trying to beat my high score on fruit ninja, obviously. We spent most of the day sitting on the decking, in the sunshine. I know some people like to explore but when we only go away for a few days we like to just spend time with each other, relaxing, reading books, watching DVD's and eating junk food!
I wouldn't usually be so bold and post a picture of myself in a bikini on my blog, but I'm feeling more confident and happier with my body lately after losing a bit of weight and attempting to tone up, now my arm has finally healed. From time to time, we had a few furry and rather noisy visitors in the field opposite us, as you can see!
Daniel enjoying the hot tub, blissfully unaware we had 80 minutes of watching the X factor ahead of us. mu-ha-ha-ha. He secretly likes it and gets way too involved, despite moaning. Sadly for him, it's on again tonight!
With views like this, we really are not looking forward to coming home tomorrow. For those wondering this log cabin is in Hull! It was well worth the money, there was a bottle of fizz waiting for us in the fridge, amazing views, lovely hot tub, well equipped kitchen, you can even get takeaways delivered to your lodge. There's also a good DVD selection and games to use during your stay!
I guess maybe, just maybe, we'll just have to stop off at Krispy Kreme on the journey home. We don't have a Krispy Kreme store / counter anywhere near us really so, this is pretty exciting stuff. I don't know if you like these 'lifestyle' type posts. I tend to ramble on an awful lot, if you've read this far then thank you!
